(Okoboji)—Bring up the topic of health insurance in a conversation these days and you’re likely to get a captive audience. Organizers say an event scheduled for this coming Tuesday, August 20th is intended to do just that. Lakes Regional Healthcare will host former Iowa Insurance Commissioner and now CEO of Co-Oportunity Health David Lyons to discuss upcoming changes to health insurance as a result of health reform legislation.
Organizers of the event say it will focus on the status of health insurance exchanges, how they will affect individuals and businesses and coverage of healthcare services, as well as how to prepare for the upcoming changes.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 12 Noon at the Pearson Lakes Art Center. Admission is free and a lunch will be provided. Those planning to attend need to make reservations by calling 336-8799 as space is limited.
Organizers say the presentation will last about an hour.
