(Estherville)—A meeting to discuss a shortage of daycare in the Estherville community is set for Tuesday April 9th at 6:30 p.m. at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville.
The issue has come to the forefront recently with the closure of the infant center in January, and the announcement that the Estherville-Lincoln Central School District will be closing the rest of the Estherville Child Care Center at the end of June.
The April 9th meeting is being facilitated by Child Care Resource and Referral. Organizers say it will include a brief overview of licensing and regulation rules, what quality indicators to look for in a child care program, parent responsibilities and so on.
