(Fairmont, MN) — The Mayo Clinic Health System is planning to end some of the services it currently offers in Fairmont. MCHS announced Monday that it will close its surgical, labor and delivery units at the end of March. Patients will be directed to MCHS facilities in Mankato, though they can choose to go to other hospitals in the area.
Officials with the Mayo Clinic Health System say they have been unable to attract the staff needed to keep operating in Fairmont.
