Margaret “Meg” Waltz To Stand Trial On Latest Charge Sept. 29th

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake woman accused of theft by check in the second degree has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The plea for Margaret “Meg” Waltz was entered Monday in Dickinson County District Court. A trial is set for September 29th.

Waltz had already been on probation as part of a sentence after pleading guilty previously to a charge stemming from the misappropriation of funds from the former Before and After School Services (BASS) Program.

She was freed after posting bond on the theft in the second degree charge, but was re-arrested later for allegedly violating terms of her probation. She’s been held in the Dickinson county jail ever since on a 10-thousand dollar cash bond. A hearing on the possible revocation of her parole is set for July 13th in Dickinson County District Court.
