(Spencer)– An investigation into a suspicious vehicle at some gas pumps in Peterson late Saturday night resulted in the arrest of a Marathon man on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says upon approaching the vehicle a deputy noticed an open container of alcohol in a cup holder. The deputy discovered a passenger, 34-year-old Nicholas Skog of Marathon, had a pipe sticking out of his pants and some plastic, which was retrieved. Further investigation revealed that drugs were wrapped in the plastic. Some ecstasy was also found in a beer cap. A further pat down of Skog resulted in deputies finding methamphetamine.
Skog was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, open container, possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…3rd offense, possession of a controlled substance…ecstasy…3rd offense, and a drug tax stamp violation. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
