Man Who Went Missing During His Murder Trial In Cottonwood County Found Dead In Minneapolis Park

(Minneapolis, Mn.)– A man who went missing during his murder trial earlier this month in Cottonwood county has been found dead.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 58-year-old Ralph Apmann was found dead Friday night in Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. His body has been transported to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Apmann posted bail after being charged in the August 26th, 2021, death of Juan Morales-Rivera. Apmann was convicted in absentia on February 14th, 2023, after failing to appear at his trial.
