(Spirit Lake)—Authorities have released the name of a man who’s body was found Monday evening on the south end of the harbor area on West Lake Okoboji. Dickinson County Sheriff Greg Baloun says the victim was 85-year-old Frederick Boer of Sanborn. Divers found Boer’s body at about 9:42 p.m. in about six to seven feet of water.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Arnolds Park-Okoboji Underwater Search and Rescue dive team, the Spirit Lake Fire Department, Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Dickinson County Emergency Management and the Dickinson County Communications Center.
