(Okoboji)– A man from Soldier, Iowa faces charges after leaving the scene of an accident Monday evening in Okoboji.
According to court documents, 71-year-old Charles Sandvold was allegedly involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 71 and Stakeout Road and left the scene. Officers attempted to make contact with Sandvold as he was westbound on 175th Street and were eventually able to get him stopped. Sandvold was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…1st offense, eluding, failure to provide aid or information at an accident and failure to maintain control.
