(Algona)– One day after a slain Iowa police officer is laid to rest, the man accused of killing him has been transported back into Iowa custody. Kossuth County Attorney Todd Holmes said that Kyle Ricke waived extradition and was being moved from a jail in Brown County, Minnesota.
He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance in Kossuth county at 3:30 p.m. today (Thurs.)
The 43-year-old Ricke faces first degree murder charges in the shooting death of Algona patrol officer Kevin Cram, who was laid to rest in Algona on Wednesday.
