(Rock Rapids)– No injuries were reported in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Lyon county, but the driver would up going to jail.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Austin Meier of Bingham Lake, Minnesota was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion southbound on Dove Avenue when the vehicle left the road and flipped onto its roof in a steep ditch, next to a culvert.
An investigation into the crash resulted in Meier being charged with operating while intoxicated…1st offense. He was booked into jail.
The vehicle was totaled.
Authorities say the crash took place a little before 5:00 am.
