Lueders Ridiculous Christmas Lights return for 15th year north of Lake Park

December 06, 2022 Becky Thoreson

(Lake Park)-A big light show has returned for the holiday season. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

The Lueders Family of Lake Park is back for their 15th year with what they call their Ridiculous Christmas Lights.

Roxie Lueders says, they’ve lost count of how many lights are in the display. “We added a bunch more in this year and we didn’t even really count. We figure we have about 200,000 lights, maybe more, and we’re just going to quit counting at this point.”

She adds that Santa will make an appearance this Saturday night. “He will be here from 5:30 to 7. He will candy and candy canes for everybody. The kids can stay in the vehicle. He is going to be at the end of our driveway and you just pull up, put down the windows and the kids can tell Santa what they want while you watch the lights.”

She notes that visitors can tune in for special music that is synchronized to the lights. “We have a FM transmitter on top of our house and at the end of our driveway there is a sign, 97.5 is the frequency to tune into, and you can sit in the car and and listen to the music while watching the lights. The lights come on every night at 5:30 and they go off at 10:30.”

The display is located at 1078 110th Street north of Lake Park.
