(Arnolds Park)– Iowa Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge was in the Iowa Great Lakes Tuesday.
Judge made a stop at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park as part of her “Travel Iowa” initiative. Judge says her travels to 67 different attractions around the state between now and Labor Day are intended to encourage Iowans to vacation close to home in their own state.
And when it comes to that, Judge says Iowa has a number of advantages over other states. Among them, she says, is that it’s more affordable to vacation in Iowa, saying the state is ranked fourth in the nation when it comes to that.
Judge also took a few minutes to tout some of the attractions in the Iowa Great Lakes.
Judge was accompanied on her stop by Cindy Peterson, Director of Cultural Affairs for the state and Nancy Landess, Director of the Department of Tourism.
