(Arnolds Park)– The longtime marketing and sales manager at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park is moving on. Paul Plumb announced today (Tues.) he’s accepted the position of Executive Director of the Chamber and Development Council of Crawford County. “My wife and I had actually moved down to Irwin, Iowa, a few years back, a little over four years ago, and I had not actively been seeking but had been looking for positions down in that area and looking for something somewhere where I could hopefully make a difference and use my background to do that, and ran across this opportunity and was blessed enough to get the position.”
Plumb begins his new job August 14th…
“Looking at chamber duties of being a leader in that organization and economic development being the key part of that, you know, trying to bring new business to Crawford county and to the Denison area.”
Plumb says there’s a lot he’s going to miss after having worked at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park the past 19 ½ years…
“First off the people. I have developed so many great relationships with coworkers, vendors, you know, so many different people that have just helped me along the way there. And, you know, just the, I’ve always said and I think I’ve even said it to you that it’s pretty hard not to walk out in the summertime and hear those kids on that coaster and not put a smile on your face.”
Plumb’s final day at Arnolds Park will be August 6th.
