(Spencer)– The longtime CEO of the Spencer YMCA has announced she’ll be stepping down at the end of the year to pursue retirement.
Becky LaBarre began her career at the Y as Program Director for six years, Operations Director for 9 years, and has been CEO since 1996.
In making the announcement to the Spencer YMCA’s Board of Directors, LaBarre said she feels the time is right.
Board Chair Kellie Beneke says they’re undertaking a national search for LaBarre’s replacement, with the goal of having a new CEO in place by the end of the year.
