(Spirit Lake)– A young local woman was among those competing in the Miss Teen Iowa 2013 pageant this past weekend in Newton.
Destinie Phomsouvanh, a junior at Spirit Lake High School, was named fourth runner-up.
This was her second year in the pageant, after having been named a semi-finalist in the 2012 event.
While at the state preliminary pageant she was chosen as the state’s representative to Miss Teen USA.
Destinie thanks her sponsors who helped make her 2013 pageant a success.
