Local Pheasant Population Showing Improved Numbers

(Spirit Lake)– There are signs the region’s pheasant population may be on the rebound following a significant decline coming out of a severe winter a couple years ago. Jeff Morrison, a Conservation Officer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources tells KUOO news they recently completed a roadside count of pheasants in the area and the numbers are up…(click here for comment from Morrison.)
