Local Organization Awarded Housing Funds

(Des Moines)– Northwest Iowa Habitat For Humanity will share in $1.37 million in funding awarded by Governor Kim Reynolds for various housing projects around the state. The funding that was awarded locally will be used for projects in Milford and Spirit Lake.

The Iowa HOME Grant Program was created as part of the Governor’s $100 million investment to increase housing options. The funding was made available through the Federal American Rescue Plan Act. $20 million was available in this round. 24 applications were received.
