(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake resident has qualified for the championship round in the Smith and Wesson U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s National Handgun Championships.
Sherwyn Greenfield of Spirit Lake is amont 620 top shooters from around the country and abroad that will participate in the championships September 11th through the 19th at a rifle and pistol club outside of Las Vegas.
During the event, shooters navigate a series of obstacles laid out over 16 stages, or courses of fire, designed to simulate potential real-world scenarios. Shooters move quickly through the various obstacles competing on both speed and accuracy. Over 225,000 rounds will be fired throughout the matches.
