(Spirit Lake)– Chad Schuchert, Funeral Director and owner of Schuchert Funeral Home and Crematory in Spirit Lake has been re-elected District 7 Governor of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association. The vote took place during the annual convention of the IFDA held May 15th-17th in Ames.
In addition to running Schuchert Funeral Home and being active in the IFDA, Schuchert also serves on the board of the Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce. District 7 encompasses Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Emmet, Sioux, O’Brien, Clay, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Cherokee, Buena Vista and pocahontas counties.
The Iowa Funeral Directors Association represents over 700 Iowa licensed funeral directors and 413 funeral home establishments. It provides high standards through continuing education programs, legislative representation and service to Iowa communities.
