(Undated)– Some local fire departments have been awarded cost-share grants from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service-State and Private Forestry.
The grants are to be used for wildfire suppression equipment, personal protective equipment and communications equipment.
Local departments that have been awarded grants include Arnolds Park/Okoboji and Sibley.
Slightly more than $236,000 was awarded to 105 Iowa fire departments.
