Local Electric Utility Co. To Trim Trees In Lakes Area

November 22, 2014

(Undated)–Tree trimming crews with Interstate Power and Light Company, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy, will be working in Dickinson county starting next week (March 30th).

A news release from the company says the crews will be in the area the next two to 12 weeks to trim limbs that are too close to power lines.

The company says the operation is essential to maintaining safe and reliable electric service.

Company officials say trees located beneath or within 10 feet of a power line will be trimmed; crews will be working throughout the lakes area as well as Montgomery and Superior.

Those with questions can call Alliant Energy’s 24-hour customer service center at 1-800-ALLIANT.
