(Spirit Lake)—A local company will be among those represented on an upcoming trade mission to Turkey.
Tri-States Grain Conditioning of Spirit Lake will have a representative on the trip, along with two other Iowa companies.
The company representatives will be joining Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey and Nebraska Agricultural Trade Representative Stan Garbacz, along with officials from four other states and an official with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Northey says the primary purpose of the trip is to promote exports. He says Turkey’s growing middle class provides opportunities for expanded agricultural exports.
