(Spencer)– A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Spencer Hospital will be honored Saturday during graduation ceremonies for the University of Northern Iowa Anesthesia Nursing Class of 2012. Eric Anderson has been named CRNA Teacher of the Year.
Each year the university honors one certified registered nurse anesthetist and one physician for providing an outstanding training experience for students. In 2007 all partners of Northwest Iowa Anesthesia were recognized with the award. This year the class selected Anderson for the honor.
The 2007 award was given the first year the Northwest Iowa Anesthesia partners hosted students. Currently the group has six partners who work closely with students training to be nurse anesthetists.
