(Spirit Lake)– A local choral group has earned the rite to participate in a national competition.
The Spirit of Harmony Chorus will compete at the International Harmony Classic in Houston, Texas later in October. The top five small and top five medium choruses with the most points from the world are eligible to compete in the contest. Spirit of Harmony will compete against choruses from Arizona, Michigan, England and Sweden.
They’ll be having a friends and family night for the public to view their competition package along with other favorites October 3rd in an event titled “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves”. It will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji. A freewill donation will be taken and everyone is invited.
