(Undated)—Add Sioux to the list of counties in northwest Iowa that have banned burning due to the drought.
The ban in Sioux county goes into effect at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (Fri.) and will remain in effect until further notice. The ban was issued by the State Fire Marshal’s Office at the request of the county’s fire chiefs.
Burn bans are also in effect for Cherokee, Clay, Lyon, O’Brien, Plymouth, and Pocahontas counties in northwest Iowa.
