Like Most Other Areas, Dickinson County Also Saw Good Turn Out In Tuesday’s Primary Election

June 09, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– There was a brisk turnout of voters locally for Tuesday’s primary election. That word from Jordan Moyer of the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office…

“Including with the absentees for this year, we had 2,189 total people come and vote. That’s compared to, from 2018, we had 2,369 people. So we had a little bit less but we did see a light turnout for the absentee. For this year we had 604 absentees and in 2018 we had 607.”

Next up is the general election November 8th. Moyer says while that may seem a ways off, people need to be planning ahead. She says you’ll be able to start requesting absentee ballots 70 days prior to November 8th, with absentee voting getting underway October 19th.
