(Undated)– Light snow made for a slippery commute this (Monday) morning across the region.
A stiff north wind combined with the snow, blowing it across roads creating areas of black ice, taking motorists by surprise.
Several vehicles were reported in the ditch along Highway Nine east of Spirit Lake and in the median along highway 71 between Milford and the Clay county line.
No serious injuries were reported.
Snowfall was less than an inch, but still enough to cause problems in some areas.
