Legislative Forums To Be Held Saturday (March 23rd)

November 22, 2014

(Undated)—Legislative forums will be held tomorrow (Sat.) in Spencer and Arnolds Park.

The Spencer Area Chamber of Commerce will hold another in it’s series of “Eggs and Issues” legislative forums tomorrow (Sat.) from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. in the council chambers at the Spencer City Hall. Senator David Johnson, Representatives Megan Hess, Jeff Smith and Dan Huseman, State Auditor David Vaudt and Congressman Steve King have confirmed they’ll be in attendance. Invitations have also been extended to U.S. Senators Tom Harkin and Charles Grassley, Iowa Ag Secretary Bill Northey, Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, but there’s no word as to if any of those officials will be on present.

Those attending the event will be asked to write down their questions on a sign up sheet. An emcee will then call the person to the podium.

In Arnolds Park, the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber of Commerce will hold another in its series of legislative forums beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Hedberg Theatre in the Maritime Museum Building. State Senator David Johnson and Representatives Jeff Smith and Megan Hess are scheduled to be on hand for that event.

The final forums of the legislative session will be held at both locations on April 6th.
