(Undated)– Several legislative forums will be held in the region this Saturday (Feb. 11th).
The Spencer Chamber of Commerce holds its “Eggs and Issues” forum at 9:00 a.m. in the council chambers at Spencer City Hall. Iowa State Auditor David Vaudt, Senators Jack Kibbie and David Johnson and Representative Jeff Smith and Royd Chambers have confirmed they’ll be on hand for the event. It’s expected to last about an hour and-a-half.
The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce holds a forum as well Saturday. It begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Hedberg Theatre in the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Musuem Building in Arnolds Park. State Representative Jeff Smith and Senator David Johnson will be featured. It will run about an hour.
Lawmakers at both sessions will give updates on the legislative session to date, followed by a question-and-answer session.
The public is invited to both events.
