Latest Info. On Lake Levels: Big Spirit Appears To Have Leveled Off While Okoboji’s Continue To Rise

(Orleans)– The water level on Big Spirit Lake appears to have leveled off as of late this (Wed.) morning while the Okoboji’s continues to rise. That’s according to the latest information from the U.S. Geological Survey. The reading as of about 10:00 am this (Wed.) morning had Big Spirit Lake at 15.46 feet, which is unchanged from 2:15 am this (Wed.) morning. The ordinary high water mark on Big Spirit is 15.15 feet.

The Okoboji’s as of about 10:30 am this (Wed.) morning were at 6.08 feet, up from 6.06 at 2:45 am this (Wed.) morning. The ordinary high water mark for the Okoboji’s is 6.54 feet.

While the region should be dry through the day today (Wed.), the National Weather Service says more rain is in the forecast late tonight (Wed.) and into the upcoming weekend.
