(Rembrandt)– Fire departments from 12 communities battled a large fire Thursday evening that destroyed two turkey facilities just north of Rembrandt, in northern Buena Vista county. Officials say the barns were empty at the time.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is unknown.
An air conditioned trailer was brought to the scene to assist firefighters in the extreme heat.
The fire was reported a little before 6:30 pm.
