(Spirit Lake)– Another area hospital has hired a new CEO.
It was announced Thursday Jason Harrington, Vice President of Operations at Spencer Hospital since 2005, has been hired as the new President and Chief Executive Offier at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.
Harrington also served as interim CEO at Spencer Hospital since October.
Previously he was the Regional Clinic Administrator of Avera Health physician clinics in several northwest Iowa communities including Spencer and Spirit Lake. Prior to that Harrington was the Regional Human Resources Director at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls.
He holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Des Moines University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Harrington begins his new job at Lakes Regional Healthcare July 1st.
He succeeds Rich Kielman, who is retiring effective June 30th after being in the position since 1991.
