(Spirit Lake)- The Lakes Regional Healthcare Board of Trustees met Monday evening in the Education Center. In addition to routine business, an Activity and Financial reports for November 2008 were presented.
A patient activity report showed that numbers were down slightly for November but overall were up for the year. Gross revenue for the hospital is up 2.7% for the year, while financial statements presented showed operating expenses and net charges were below what was budgeted.
The board also summarized an employee assistance program, a benefit for the Lakes Regional Health staff. Finally, the International Union of Operating Engineers, which represents food services, housekeeping, and maintenance, was decertified.
