(Spirit Lake)– Reconstruction of a stretch of Lake Street in Spirit Lake is about to get underway.
Public Works Director Dwight Dohlman tells KUOO news work to replace the paving, sidewalks and necessary utilities on Lake Street between Gary Avenue and Highways 9 and 71 will begin Monday. Dohlman says crews will begin work on the east end of the project and make their way west.
Dohlman says work on relocating utilities in that same area has been underway the past couple of weeks.
The project is slated for completion by the end of October.
