Lake Restoration Project To Be Topic Of Meeting October 23rd

(Okoboji)– While very low water levels in many shallow lakes caused by the drought will likely cause problems this winter, Mike Hawkins, a fisheries biologist with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources tells KUOO news the low water levels will actually be a big benefit for a lake in Clay county they’re trying to restore…(click here for comment from Hawkins.)

A public informational meeting on the Trumbull Lake restoration project is set for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23rd at the Dickinson County Nature Center. DNR officials will be on hand to explain the project and answer questions.
