(Lake Park)– The Lake Park City Hall will be getting a facelift, both inside and out. The City Council Monday evening voted to get bids to renovate the facility. They considered seeking competitive quotes that would have resulted in the project being done in phases but opted to get bids instead to get it done all at once.
The project has an estimated cost of $450,000, a portion of which will be paid by Lake Park Municipal Utilities, which also has an office in the facility. The city has already set aside $287,000 for its share of the project.
The renovations could take between five and seven months to complete. City officials say the project will likely result in offices being temporarily relocated while construction is underway.
