(Lake Park)– The Lake Park City Council voted Monday evening to revise language in a proposed purchase agreement for land for a new fire station. The new wording in a counter offer contains the phrase “with the intent to construct a fire station/EMS facility”.
Council members were concerned over previous language that stated the land would forever have to be used for a fire station.
The council Monday evening expressed a desire to keep the reference to the construction of a new fire station as part of the wording after learning it will help with applying for grants for the project.
