(Des Moines)– The Iowa Economic Development Authority has awarded a $900,000 Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) Grant for renovations at Silver Lake City Park in Lake Park.
As we’ve reported previously, the project includes replacement of outdated playground equipment, a paved loop trail with seating to view the lake, shelter house improvements, additional spaces for new sporting activities and signage for the new trail extension. The project has a total cost of a little more than 3 million dollars.
