Krause Group Sells Kum & Go Convenience Stores; Solar Transport

(Des Moines)– A chain of midwest covenience stores is changing hands. It was announced this (Fri.) morning Maverik-Adventure’s First Stop and its parent company, FJ Management, have acquired Kum & Go and Solar Transport from the Krause Group.

In a statement, Kyle Krause, President and CEO of Krause Group, says “Kum & Go has always been driven by a desire to innovate, grow and serve our customers, our communities and our people.” He goes on to say “Maverik has built its business in the same way and is ideally positioned to lead the next chapter of growth for Kum & Go.”

A press release says the transaction is expected to close in coming months.

Kum & Go has more than 400 locations across 13 states, including those locally in Okoboji and Spirit Lake.

Terms of the transaction weren’t released.
