Keynote Speaker Announced For Upcoming Business Recognition Luncheon

December 01, 2025

(Spencer)– We now know who the keynote speaker is going to be for the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation’s 15th annual Business Recognition Luncheon coming up January 28th, 2026. Corridor CEO Curt Strouth says Devin Henderson will be on the stage…

“Devin has a little bit of a cool back story. He actually auditioned for America’s Got Talent back in 2014. He went in with high expectations, high hopes, and he actually did not make the cut. He actually got voted off of America’s Got Talent. From that experience it’s kind of driven him to where he’s at in his world today, and now he’s a very talented leadership type of speaker talking about how you take your teams that you work with day in, day out, how you work with your organizations, how you empower them, and what truly inspires us as human individuals to really be the best that we can be. His story is very heart felt. He provides some humor, a little bit of audience interaction, a little bit of magic, which we’re excited about, too.”

Strouth adds they’re still accepting nominations in several different categories to recognize some outstanding businesses in the Corridor’s four county service area of Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson and Emmet counties…

“We’ll host about 300 people as part of this. As part of the event we do recognize four award categories as part of the event. Those four award categories are Small Business Excellence Award which would be for businesses less than 30 employees; we have a Large Business Excellence Award which would be for those businesses with 30 employees or more; we recognize an Entrepreneur of the Year, and a Young Professional of the Year. Nominations are open currently so we recommend anybody out there to go to our website at lakescorridor.com, go ahead and click on the nomination tab there and you can nominate any business or any individual in one of those four categories and get them recognized. We’ve had a longstanding list of great business and entrepreneurs and individuals over the last 15 years and we certainly look forward to recognizing some additional ones here in 2026.”

Those wishing to attend the January 28th event can RSVP at lakescorridor.com/luncheon. You need to do that by Monday, January 12th, 2026.
