November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into an altercation earlier this month surrounding a fight that involved a man with a knife.

Authorities say 17-year-old Taylor Johnson of Johnston, Iowa was arrested as a result of the July 8th incident in which no one was seriously hurt.

Johnson was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of going armed with intent…a class “D” felony; and assault…a simple misdemeanor. He was being held on a $5,000 bond.

Authorities say the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of 260th Avenue, or County Road M-56.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spirit Lake Police Department and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
