James Taylor, Carly Simon Tribute Group To Perform In Worthington

March 28, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Worthington, Mn.)– The Friends of the Auditorium will present “How Sweet it is: The Music of James Taylor & Carly Simon” on Saturday, April 1st. Managing Director Tammy Makram (mack-rum) says the tribute group is based out of the Twin Cities…

“They are a group out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We had them come to do a show called “Country Roads” which is a tribute to the music of John Denver, and their show was so fantastic. They’re not only talented musicians but they’re great story tellers. So it was fun to experience and sit back and hear great music but also hear interesting facts about the people whose music they were singing and they’ll be doing the same thing with this “How Sweet It Is James Taylor, Carly Simon” show. It will be a really fun experience. You’ll hear the music you love but also learn some things you might not have known about the musicians.”

She adds there are several ways to purchase tickets…

“You can find out information, see vides of the band and things like that at friendsoftheauditorium.com. You can also call our box office or stop by there. That is open from Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 1:00, so that’s another way to get your tickets or find out more information.”

The concert will start at 7:00 pm Saturday at the Memorial Auditorium in Worthington.
