Jackson, Mn. Woman Pleads Guilty To Embezzling

(Mankato, Mn.)– A southwest Minnesota bank officer has pleaded guilty to embezzling.

65-year-old Carolyn Faye Hampel of Jackson, Mn. entered the plea to embezzlement by a bank officer during a hearing Tuesday in Federal Court in St. Paul. Hampel admitted stealing between $30,000 and $120,000 from customers of United Prairie Bank from 2005 to 2011.

A sentencing date hasn’t been set.

The case was investigated by the FBI.
