Jackson Man Announces Candidacy For Minnesota Senate

(Jackson, Mn.)– A Jackson man has announced he’s running for the Minnesota Senate in District 21.

Nathan Peterson has served on the Jackson City Council the past six years and has served on the Jackson County Fair Board. He is Chairman of the Jackson County Republicans and previously served as a congressional deputy chair for Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District GOP. Peterson is a reserve with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and is a retired firefighter.

Peterson says he has zero tolerance for fraud adding he strongly supports oversight and accountability to ensure public funds are protected and used only for their intended purposes.

Bill Weber, who currently holds the Minnesota Senate District 21 seat, has announced he isn’t seeking re-election.
