(Jackson, Mn.)– After missing a year due to a scheduling conflict, the Jackson Farm and Home show is back for another year, and chamber director Corey Christopher says expansions this year will bring more of the farm in the farm and home show…
“So when we set out to work on this year’s show one of the things we wanted to add was a little more ag influence. And we set out to find a couple speakers and we wanted to have people who were very well known and very accomplished in their field because we thought that would be great to bring in and give people the opportunity to hear.”
Christopher says they were able to get two speakers, Kent Thiesse, a well known Farm Management Analyst, and Brian Hefty, of AgPhD TV. The two will headline an event with live music, the visiting Great Plains Zoo, dining opportunities and more. Christopher says it’s good to have the event back…
“We’re really excited to have it back. It’s the 41st Annual Farm and Home Show, it’s become obviously a tradition in the community of Jackson and then we took the year off of last year due to the scheduling conflict and now we’re back for the 41st year. It would have been interesting if it had ran for 40 continuous years up until then, but we’re really happy to be back.”
The show is at Jackson County Central High School this Saturday, February 24th, from 9 am to 1:30 pm.
