(Jackson, Mn.)– Authorities in Jackson county, Minnesota say an investigation into several items taken from vehicles and one vehicle that was stolen and later found partially submerged in a lake, has landed two Windom, Minnesota men in jail.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigation started this past Tuesday (July 24th) when deputies received a report of three Garmins, a laptop computer, three purses, a wakeboard and a tent that had been taken from vehicles on Southwest Shore Drive on Fish Lake.
Deputies also learned through their investigation that a 2003 PT Cruiser had also been stolen. It was later found partially submerged in Lake Indendence in Jackson county, near Fish Lake.
Authorities say their investigation resulted in them obtaining two search warrants for locations in Windom, where some of the stolen property was located. Authorities say it resulted in the arrests 22-year-old Alex Peiffer and 22-year-old Clinton Glidden, both of Windom. The two men were charged with three felony counts including aid and advise theft of a motor vehicle; aid and advise theft and aid and advise criminal damage to property.
Peiffer and Glidden appeared before a judge Friday who set bond at $20,000. Glidden has since posted bond; Peiffer remained in jail as of earlier today (Mon.).
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by the Windom Police Department.
