Jackson County Ranked Healthiest In Minnesota

November 22, 2014

(Minneapolis, Mn.)– A new report says residents in southwest Minnesota’s Jackson county are the healthiest in the state, followed by Scott and Steele counties.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute released the findings. Their report includes county-by-county health rankings for all 50 states.

The report ranks counties by “health factors” and “health outcomes”, which includes the length and quality of life. That’s where Jackson, Scott and Steele counties came out on top.

Pat Stewart is the community health services administrator for Cottonwood and Jackson counties. She says she’s delighted by the findings.
