(Jackson, Mn.)—A motorcycle crash last (Mon.) evening in Jackson county claimed the life of a rural Jackson man.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Jason Libengood of rural Jackson was westbound on County State Aid Highway 4 when he failed to negotiate a curve near the intersection with State Highway 264 near the Nobles county line. The motorcycle went into the south ditch and struck a sign, ejecting Libengood.
Libengood was transported to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where he died of his injuries. The Yamaha motorcycle he was driving was totaled.
Authorities say the crash, which took place around 10:30 p.m., remains under investigation.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, the Round Lake Fire Department and the Sanford Worthington Ambulance Service.
