(Jackson)– A crash Thursday on Highway 86 five miles north of Lakefield sent one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it involved a pickup pulling a 5th wheel camper. Troopers say 69-year-old Eugene Sunderman of Windom was northbound when he drifted onto the gravel shoulder. Authorities say Sunderman then over-corrected with the camper disconnecting from the pickup. The pickup vaulted over a farm entrance before coming to rest.
Sunderman was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Windom where he was treated and released.
A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup he was driving was totaled, along with the 5th wheel camper it was pulling.
The crash took place shortly before 3:00 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
