(Jackson, Mn.)– An investigation into an alleged domestic assault case from earlier this month has landed a Mountain Lake, Minnesota man in jail.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a report they received from a 23-year-old woman who stated her husband showed up at her farm place August 4th and assaulted her. The victim showed her injuries to deputies.
As a result of their investigation, deputies arrested 26-year-old Keith Byam of Mountain Lake who was charged with felony domestic assault. Byam is being held in the Jackson county jail on 50-thousand dollars bond.
Officials say the felony count is the result of two or more domestic-related convictions with a family or household member within 10 years of the first conviction.
